Assateague Camping Guide
Of all the things Assateague is known for camping rates highest of them all. With beautiful scenery, abundant wildlife, and clean well maintained facilities, you can't go wrong setting your sites on this stretch of coast for your next vacation. In this section of the guide you will find all the information you will need to decide where, when and how to plan your next trip.
    
We will be adding photo tours (including dimensions) of all Assateague Campsites beginning with the State Park in January 2007!
Both the State and National Park Service operate facilities on the Island. Both parks offer great opportunities for camping within a stones throw of the Atlantic. The National Park has bayside and oceanside camping available, and the State Park  offers extensive oceanside facilities. There are differences in the amenities offered , and each park has their pluses and minuses depending on your needs.
